Went out to explore Venice about 5pm. walked from our hotel near the Rialto over to Accemddamia, (I'm way too tired to check on the proper spellings, sorry) and then to San Marcos, with a side trip to Alfredo's pasta to go.     Today we travelled to Pisa and then Venice where we will stay two nights. We visited just a corner of Pisa where the old Duomo and The Leaning Tower are located. The Church and tower were built with Carrera Marble. It comes from the Appenine Mountains where the basalt in the hills turns to marble when it is heated and compressed which occurs through volcanic heat and naturel compression.
