    Had a good sleep at Hotel Arlecchino. Christine not 100% thanks to a dodgy Dubai quiche? We needed to take things easy and not stray too far from home. I was able to squeeze in a run along the canals only meeting with dead ends on a few occasions. The prime destination for the day was Piazza San Marco and the Palazzo Ducale.     ... you **** every two metres! driving me insane! Matt's determined to buy one just to shut them up - I say it's a Pandora's box - they just keep coming! Final sharing about today are that we all got our mask's - I particularly loved the 1500 euro one, which I'm discovering is typical of me - in love with the expensive! Had to downgrade, but still beautiful - i am wondering though why I look better in a full mask than half?!?!?! Anyway now to get them ...

    ... a gorgeous glass chandelier. We ditched our bags and went exploring. This was more like it! Very narrow lane ways with 3 to 4 storey buildings either side with hundreds of little shops. Laura and I looked at each other - paradise! There were tourists, tourists everywhere. Apparently the population of old Venice is about 60,000 but this must triple with the tourists.
