... at DIavolezza and caught the vermicular to the mountain top AWESOME !! Firs time in my life to touch snow ...wow wow wow ...kinda another emotional moment in my life .... The sun has now come out and the vista is even more fabulous ....perfecto ...oh and everyone speaks italian up here and in St Moritz. Feeling on top of the world 300 feet above ea level ...oh so cool ..someone's brought their dog up here ...I'm sure ...
... realised we weren't on the right path at all, we
weren’t even in the right valley. Not to worry, we re-planned the route and
carried on. The walk took us towards the town of Terlago and the Lago di
Terlago before heading round Monte Mezzana and climbing back up to the village
of Covelo and on the village of Monte Terlago where our campsite is. The walk
was lovely, past vineyards and apple orchards.
Saturday 20th July
... depicting traditional crafts and scenes. We had nearly completed the
loop when the weather turned very stormy. The thunder and lightning got closer
and closer, the heavens opened and the wind whipped up. We hurried back to the
campsite but not before we got completely soaked. The weather tomorrow is
supposed to be better.

Set off for Modena this morning - Ferrari country!!!! Actually, the region is home to Lamborghini, Maserati, Bugatti and Ducatti as well, and so I was hoping that our visit to the Enzo Ferrari Museum would give me enough time for a decent look around! We have spent eons looking at ancient churches, castles and buildings etc. and as lovely as they are, I am totally over them!!!!
So I endured an hour of central Modena with its large Cathedral and cobblestones, before we found ...
... magnificent views of the local Dolomite Mountains and to the snow capped Alps to the North. It was a glorious warm day and we stood for ages taking in the scenery - it is truly a wonderful part of the world!
A glass of wine and a local apple strudel, while viewing all this, made a great afternoon tea and then we caught a cable car down the mountain and back to the city - again with views of Bolzano and the ...
