I am writing this blog primarily for 2 reasons. 1. As a record of our trip and thoughts. 2. As a way of communication to let our friends & family know what we are doing. ... Allan, Allan youtube clip of this funny animal calling for Allan is a bit of an in joke with the girls at work, (love my work girls) so we were determined to get a shot of him. He didn't make it easy though, he kept disappearing into a hole so it took some time!
We walked around quaint Bielefeld for a while, had a yummy pasta dinner and headed back to the hotel. David was especially tired after close to 4 hours of driving concentration.
... us to a small garden by the damn, but the stiel had been removed. Apparently there will be a ceremony to mark the bombing of the 3 dams on the anniversary on 17th May 2015.

... the town. This vantage point gave us a great 180 degree view over the town and all the other fireworks being set off to mark this occasion. Nathan, Traci, Kate and Roy had a fun time seeing off fireworks and joining in the merriment with the others. On the stroke of midnight everyone enjoyed a couple of glasses of champagne (the kids had alcohol free of course) and welcomed in the new year with much joy and happiness.
