... a nice drive and we found free parking which is always a bonus. Walked into the lovely old town, see pictures, then we heard trumpets start, so we headed to the Piazza and drums beat, trumpets sounded from the band and all the men in coloured outfits and flags arrived, we were treated to half an hour of a fantastic spectacle. We have found another place we would like to come back to. Our stay in Verona was just perfect. The old city is very easy to get around, and there were hardly any tourists, so no queues to get into the museums and churches, which was a plus after our last stops.
