Cruise Phase 1
Our cruise started in Venice on 4 October. The Oceania Rivera was all that we thought it would be. Our stateroom is spacious and very well fitted out. As with all rooms on this particular ship, we have our own balcony where we can sit and enjoy the passing scenery. There are numerous restaurants at which to eat. Arrived in Heraklion
The flight lasts about 3 hours taking us directly from London to Heraklion, Crete. As we step out of the plane in the heat, Paulo and I look at each other, without saying anything, but with a big grin on our faces. Rainy Londonland is a far far away memory now!! Heraklion to Mykonos - Ferry Trip from hell
... We are very happy to see you” and we all laughed. He said “I know you have had a terrible day”. After a short drive we finally got to our room just before midnight. This trip took all up 14 hrs, we could of been in Bangkok in 14 hrs. Anyway glad to be here after a trip from hell. We showered and went to bed and Mary was still feeling sick. Our room is big with a big beautiful comfy king size bed, just what we needed. Goodnight.

Goodbye Crete
27TH SEPTEMBER 2012 - Up this morning to another beautiful day close to Elafonisi but unfortunately we have to leave. We get back to Kissamos and grab some money from the ATM. We find a couple of travel agents to buy some ferry tickets for tomorrow from Heraklion to Mykonos without any success. One agent in town of Kissamos tells me that they are booked out. Anyway Mary been silly tried to do a pose but failed miserably due to lack of experience hahahaha. Back to our room late in the afternoon covered in sand and partly burnt even though we put layers of sunscreen all over us. A nice relaxing day. Dinner at the Panorama taverna again.
