Dinner is back in the hotel tonight, but we have sourced some provisions for a cheaper breakfast tomorrow to have in our room from the very nice supermarket called Ralph's. Note to Dad, Joshua Tree was as amazing as I can remember it, albeit, I am sure that there was some snow on ...

... intense sun feels like-- hence, my skin went into shock. (I have never burned and peeled before this vacation.)

Needless to say, we all enjoyed a restful holiday, and even got to see my cousin Peter, who came over from LA. I don't think any of us wanted to return home at the end of the week.

I felt rather unproductive towards the end of holiday, without Uni work and hours of reading. But fear not, the ...

We started the day driving to centre of Palm Springs to look for the stars homes, where Elvis, Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra all stayed in the 50s and 60s. Firstly though we decided to stop off for breakfast in what looked like a small, cosy, classic American diner, Billy Reed's. However when we walked in we were welcomed to a saloon style diner which looked like it was from the 1850s. Complete with a ballroom, a wild west bar and twelve dollar pancakes. It was a strange ...
