Today was a sea day as we cross the Eastern Mediterranean back to Italy and Sardinia. As not much happens I will on some thoughts from our trip so far. The café we went to for lunch was originally used as a post office and still have the places that the horses would drink from at the back of the shop (see picture also). There was a crypt under the shop with bones in, but we couldn't see it because it's to dangerous getting down there.
On the way to the ship we bought some all natural and yummy Sardinian sweets made of almond which are locally grown. Everything was made from almond.

Onto the local bus and down to the beach. Timed it well the middle school kids had finished for the day. Nice young man sat next to me with about the same english as my Italian. Had a limited chat.
The beach is about 7kms long. Half is free the other half had about 10,000 umbrellas and 10 clients. Must be mad in the season.

Up lots of stairs to watch towers. The archeological museum, the local council palazzo! It was grandiose, mitcham would give an arm and a leg for such opulence.
Visited the mandatory churches, some with crypts. It stll amazes me the riches and ornate ness of these religious edifices.
