... outlying islands and others vary from an hour to a couple of hours. We didn't want to spend a whole day on the water so we went for a short cruise that would show us the main things. The main things being amazing caves, grottos and islands. We went fully into one grotto, I thought I was over my cave "thing", apparently it doesn't apply to grottos. Having just seen how huge chunks of the cliff face can fall ...

We've done a lot of ferries this trip..Lake Como ( about 4 or 5), mainland Italy to Sardinia, Sardinia to Corsica. Its really second nature to me now driving on and off boats. ... re used to. No waves and no tidal movement, certainly none that's noticeable. The water is warm and crystal clear. I found myself surrounded by whiting and garfish - a whole new meaning to the well known phrase "swimming with the fishes"!!! The beach was well supported by a very organised crew of about 7-8 souvenir sellers. They seemed to have worked a synchronised rotation of beaded jewellery, sarongs, scarves, dresses, ...

... here, but the ones we visited are lovely, in little coves, looking out to islands just off the coast, and being a Sunday and an absolutely perfect day (28 degrees at 11am) lots of boats on the water. Driving from coastal village to coastal village was a lot like the Great Ocean Road. There are gum trees here so that helps with the feel. At one point we both thought that it was just like part of the drive to ...
