      ... were made by stacking stones (stones is probably an understatement - these are big boulders) into a self supporting conical shape with a large (3 metre wide) slab of granite at the top. Impressive. This village was discovered in then1950's and has not been completely explored yet. This village dates from about 900BC. That's old, really old. I wonder how they made these structures, what they were wearing, what the kids ...

      ... amp; their 3 daughters who were taking an extended holiday before moving home to NZ (after living in the Sth west of France for 12 years & having all three daughters there).       ... re used to. No waves and no tidal movement, certainly none that's noticeable. The water is warm and crystal clear. I found myself surrounded by whiting and garfish - a whole new meaning to the well known phrase "swimming with the fishes"!!! The beach was well supported by a very organised crew of about 7-8 souvenir sellers. They seemed to have worked a synchronised rotation of beaded jewellery, sarongs, scarves, dresses, ...

      ... here, but the ones we visited are lovely, in little coves, looking out to islands just off the coast, and being a Sunday and an absolutely perfect day (28 degrees at 11am) lots of boats on the water. Driving from coastal village to coastal village was a lot like the Great Ocean Road. There are gum trees here so that helps with the feel.
