... tried the kolonial hotel, but it was full. They pointed me to a pension though, which pointed me to another one, which thankfully had a room for me. I had a pork / mushroom crepe for dinner, and then took a shower and washed all my stuff, using one of the ortliebs as a washing machine drum (thanks for the tip Pauline, works wonders). I went to sleep, thankful for a night in a dry place. It's the simple ...

They host a World Annual blacksmith convention in the old castle (note - Peter Stoncius) and some of their art work is hung around the walls of the castle. Nothing could go wrong now, simple exit from the castle car park, head east on a forestry road straight to our overnight stay in Teplice nad Becvou. But, yes somehow I did it ...

After an early breakfast we carried our suitcases outside the hotel and then walked 15 minutes through Old Town to a street where the bus was able to park. The bus navigated through Prague and suburbs, then on a four-lane highway West for four hours. We did make one stop at a fast food place with free bathrooms - McDonalds, of course. It did have an actual coffee bar with ...
