First when we came in there were wooden boards for plates with knifes and HUGE napkins.The guy came in and told us we had to use our fingers and we could use the knife for the bread. And you could wipe your fingers if they were dirty on the other persons hair. I know this sounds crazy but it is true.Catherine, mommy's friend, was with us. The swim meet was a fun swim meet.     ... living museum of mountain bike history. I have taken to standing in front of bike racks spying the Scott frame from 1990 or the Reflex from 1988. The girls ignore me when I yell "Trek Antelope on your right" now but I still marvel at the unique concentration of vintage quality bikes on the road here.

    We were supposed to take the cable cars and cog wheel train to Alpspix and Zugspitz for Adrian's birthday but it snowed overnight and both mountains were covered in cloud. We had to come up with a plan B and found the very pretty town of Mittenwald was close by. The buildings in this part of Bavaria are painted with murals which is quite different to other areas.     ... Celeste and Peter shared a tasting platter with a bit of everything on their menu! The serves were huge! See the photos! I thought I would try an Austrian speciality for dessert. I can't remember it's proper name but it's a soufflé. What they fail to tell you and the menu doesn't explain either, that it's "HUGE" and is supposed to be shared between 5 or 6 people. Everyone had a taste and we had to leave about a third of it. ...
