Flying to San Jose - carrying explosives?!

A travel blog entry by amzellen on Sep 08, 2014

My flight to San Jose was not until the evening so I had the morning to kill. Went down to the hotel breakfast and had plastic scrambled egg and some flat pork type gammon thing. Being america I wasn't expecting much healthy food but I was a bit shocked when the 'fruit platter' was about 4 bits of melon and pineapple. I think I ended up taking the …

... kayak out along the rocky coast and saw lots of cool caves and beautiful crystal clear water. It was very pretty. At night, we went out to dinner at a restaurant called Claro Que Si. We wolfed them down with rice'n'beans, wished our budget could stretch to another plate, and chatted to the owners for ...

We had a brief stop in San Jose to catch our flight to Honduras in the morning. Most of our evening was spent wandering around San Jose trying to find somewhere to print our boarding passes! The hostel we were in was quite new and though very nice, was making massive effort to try and make us feel welcome and have fun. As we were the only people about for a lot of the evening, it mean they were putting all their efforts into it and ...

... I did actually like them. I just got frustrated sometimes. They were pretty funny though, worked hard and they were genuinely smart people, I mean Kym works in a cancer lab she definitely had to be super smart for that. This is why I can't imagine they would make mistakes that obvious and I would have thought their insults would have been a bit more imaginative. I also can't see them bothering to actually track my blog down, I really don't think I'm that ...
