Flying to San Jose - carrying explosives?!

A travel blog entry by amzellen on Sep 08, 2014

My flight to San Jose was not until the evening so I had the morning to kill. Went down to the hotel breakfast and had plastic scrambled egg and some flat pork type gammon thing. Being america I wasn't expecting much healthy food but I was a bit shocked when the 'fruit platter' was about 4 bits of melon and pineapple. I think I ended up taking the …

... They had already been to Costa Rica with the dog but this time, the authorities were asking for other paperwork which they did not have. The authorities wanted to have the dog stay at the airport and resolve it the next day because it was passed 7PM already. Obviously, that was not an option and the poor woman was very upset. It was a bit odd not being with everyone and even though we had been looking forward to doing things when ...

... the place we just visited. Anyway, we decided to take a different route back to Alajuela remembering the traffic we encounted on our way. Thank You GPS as we were able to follow another road, longer, secluded, back road but....low and behold...when we did enter civilization.....the traffic was even worse! I think I was losing my wits now because i was becoming very irritated with the Drivers, the Traffic, feeling Hungry and then I was informed by the radio, Obama would ...

... many kids of lapsed Catholics, Morgs had not attended a Stations of the Cross so was full of questions before we went.

The procession started just outside of our neighbourhood and then wound its way through the streets to finish at the little church - 3 doors down from where we live. We passed the 'pulpe' (corner shop) where all 'the boys' (mostly between 10yrs - 18yrs) hang out night and day. Many of them play futsal with Morg ...
