Carretera Torrevieja a La Mata Torrevieja, Costa Blanca, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands, 03188, 966-921-717
... 15 minutes to take pictures by the small river which had very little water in it and a lot of garbage. We got back on the bus and drove to Aleta to see an old church and that was locked soooo we went back to the ship and went to dinner but first I talked on the phone and managed to lose my glasses. Didn't realize it however until after dinner and then ...
Alicante, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands mamafeathers... of Biscay which can be very stormy, fingers crossed it will be a fine crossing. We land at 8.00 am Friday morning and then we drive across Spain to the Costa Calida where we plan to spend a few weeks in a small Spanish village called Roldan, then we move on to a town called Lo Pagan,
Lo Pagán, Murcia, Spain and Canary Islands lowrus... we went to see and in Altea there was a beautiful rocky beach where Cristina and I had a really good heart to heart about our lives. Hehe, so corny but it was really good. I <3 her mucho!~! I love good listeners since I'm such a big talker, tehe, but I love talkers too, which thank goodness both Elizabeth and Cristina are!~!
And hollaback at that anchor!~! DG love!~! o--+--)
Alicante, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands jessicahwang... pretty amazing since it was pretty expensive I bet to feed like 20 plus people. I tried some authentic Spanish jamón y queso and lots of other dishes that they didn't tell us the names of! Frustrating! One was really interesting it was a boiled egg that was fried in a batter and served. At first I thought it was a chicken nugget then I thought it was fried cheese then I realized there was yoke.
Some of the people in our ...
Alicante, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands jessicahwangWell, another day on the road. Sunday. Not a good day in Spain. They take there Jesus and stuff like that pretty serious over here. This probably explains the the 50 ft statue they built of him on top of a mountain. I mean, honestly, i dont want to say i could do things better, but, spend that money on finishing buildings or building roads that cyclists can use, or policing the beaches, anything but a 50 ft statue. Waste of money.

So, anyway, we arrived in ...
El Palmar, Murcia, Spain chris_jones01Has to be the funniest morning yet. The three of us and the two Belgians got up early to get some breakfast from the cafeteria. We mistakenly thought it was all you can eat. . . It wasnt. We were the first group of people in the cafeteria and we tried to make 5 sandwiches each and stuff our pockets full of fruit and biscuits for the day. We used up all of the cheese and ham which was laid out on individual plates. The ...
Orihuela, Valencia, Spain chris_jones01... consists of three countries". So, in my English accent i played along and said "I am English". He said " they don't teach you things like that in uni, but its important". Agreeingly, I replied "well, I have been to uni and they certainly did not teach me that". He then said that the best way to keep your passport safe is to bury it. Well after loosing the coke bottle in the sand this certainly wasnt an option for me. However, it may be an idea to buy Alex a shovel.
Alacante, Valencia, Spain chris_jones01So, day 2 in Alacant. Had to start off by finding the British consulate so Alex can get a new passport. After a pretty standard day we bought some cheap Sangria and food which we cooked in the courtyard of the hostel. Thats right 7 euros a night and it has an f-in courtyard. We cooked food, drank and ate with a few of the German dudes whilst the rest of the guys where lost in the city. After ...
Alacante, Valencia, Spain chris_jones01... made for interesting conversation... Lucky I didnt have far to walk home on my own as they watched the remainder of the game..... On the last night the boys went to a fair thats along the boardwalk for a bit of bullriding and game playing. I'm not sure if Tom and Harri concquered the bulls but managed to have a good time anyway. They came home in a good mood and as I read quitely in bed they decided to pickup were they left off at the fair... Why didnt God give me girls ?.....
Torrevieja, Spain and Canary Islands bellavita... watch and had the joy of watching a beautiful sunset. Jeff was outside and I was inside. He said he saw the "green flash" just as the sun dipped. Evidently the polarized windows of the pilothouse blocked it out! Lesson learned. I'll be ready on the next clear sunset. It was an evening for which I must wax poetic. The sky blazed shades of orange on the western horizon and as those colors were about to die, the moon rose in the east. It was a large, full ...
