Slept in! We woke up at 10.10 and just managed to catch breakfast before it shut, it was really busy so we had to pull some chairs up with some indian blokes, one guy at the table ate 5 bowls of porridge, we just stuck to our usual diet of curry! After a few hours sleep and breakfast, I got to meet my roommate, who was just coming in from Europe. I called Mahima, a friend I'd met in Europe and she offered to come pick me and my roommate up and take us around town to see it.

simmered in our own sweat. The moment we stepped out of the airplane
at Indira International Airport, we started sweating and didn't stop
for four days. We felt like penguins in the desert! In the pre
monsoon season normal behaviour was not possible for us. But maybe
this dreamlike, lethargic state of being helped us to get into the
... easily. I have discovered that one of my favourite things to do in Delhi is walk on Rajpath, between India Gate and the Parliament buildings. It's a long road an there's something about that walk that feels imperial, which is, after all, kind of the point. I like passing all of the food stands and seeing the dust swirl around in the air, the sun hitting the tops of these grand buildings. It's really quite a feeling.
