      Day 2 Today we met up with two girls who are on the same tour as us (Alice and Eleanor) and decided to try out the metro system, which lots of Rickshaw drivers try to put you off doing. It was excellent. Such a step up from the London Underground! It was all air conditioned and there was plenty of room. Interestingly, there are ''ladies only" …

      at Indira International Airport, we started sweating and didn't stop
      for four days. We felt like penguins in the desert! In the pre

      ... easily. I have discovered that one of my favourite things to do in Delhi is walk on Rajpath, between India Gate and the Parliament buildings. It's a long road an there's something about that walk that feels imperial, which is, after all, kind of the point. I like passing all of the food stands and seeing the dust swirl around in the air, the sun hitting the tops of these grand buildings. It's really quite a feeling.
