... until it started moving.

  • After the tour I walked to the town square where there was a big Xmas market on. The prices here were slightly cheaper than in Prague.
  • I asked back at my hotel where I could find a grocery store. The walk was a lot longer than she made it out to be.
  • I came back with enough food for dinner and lunch. I ate most of it and put the rest out on the windowsill to keep cool because the fridge wasn't ...

... better if the window wasn't placed so high! We aren't all giants you know!

Once we left the facility we were off to the Pilsner Urquell brewery. Began in 1842 after a bad batch of Pilsner tarnished the name, this place certainly brought it back. Coming into Plzen on the train, and then walking to the hostel, I was questioning my choice of places to visit. It was industrial looking, nothing to write home about. But then I walked into the Old Town centre and it's quite pretty, with old buildings and cobbled streets and a large town square. There ...

13/5/2013. Yeeessss!!!! Back to civilization as we know it .....WIFI IS AGAIN AVAILABLE. Much as we enjoy being in Germany and admire it for its' beautiful towns, for a tourist needing Internet access it's a disaster, unless staying in a hotel of course. So, on a cold wet gray day we arrived at the unmanned border to the Czech Republic, only to turn round and head back into Germany. We'd intended avoiding motorway tolls as much as possible and had arrived at a minor border ...
