... some lunch onsite at Na Splitze restaurant, a big beer hall seating over 500. It was pretty quiet, so Beer and sausage in hand, Beaver was happy once more, but wishing slug was there with her. Escaping the ‘modern’ centre unscathed, we arrived in the historical centre’s town square which was home to St Bartholemew’s Cathedral, an impressive spectacle indeed. Along with some phallic looking fountains, the square boasted a Plague Memorial dating from the 1700s. It was adorned with skulls and angelic looking children. Highly depressing times indeed. ...
