We walked around the end of the island from where we started this morning to see the rivers and enjoy the beautiful park and sunshine. The Germans know their animals - we saw 2 pugs in the park!! ...

We decided to join a night tour of the town for an hour, just so we had some idea of where we were and the background of this lovely place. So it was a pleasant surprise given the number of tourists in town, to find ourselves on a private tour with Christian, the musician with a Masters in theology from Berkley, California… What the?? ... the people of medieval times, we journeyed up the hill and into the castle on several occasions during our stay.
For us they were opportunities to explore the castle and tower complexes and our visits included attending a concert, two guided tours within the castle, attending an extensive sculpture exhibition and a tower climb.
We woke up early this morning, feeling pretty ******, and managed to pack up our things and check out. We walked down the street to the metro, stopping for apples and snacks on the way, then caught a train to the bus station. We found our bus and checked our bags underneath before finding our seats right up the back. (Back seat toughies!)
