      This morning we took a cab to the Matisse Museum (great gift shop.) I enjoyed it but we were told they would call a cab for us to get back. The woman told me she couldn't do it. So we headed for the bus stop. My husband made us take a short cut that brought us to the wrong bus stop. I'm glad I didn't listen to him and walked back towards the front of the Museum.       Day 1

      Today we sleep in a bit. I think we are starting to feel a little travel logged. By this I mean too much Europe not enough tourist. So today we sleep in, have a leisurely breakfast on the balcony, do another load of laundry and have a pot of coffee. This is the life. Well enough of this lazing around, off to check out the beach.

      Once again the sun is shining and I actually load up with some sun screen. We are back into shorts ...

It is also the location where the city bus from Monaco drops you off and the place you can catch one of the modern electrical tramways to other parts of the city which is a nice trip.       ... idea. It is surprisingly hectic, I'm a very strong swimmer but I am so drunk that I only just remember this swim, one of my stupider decisions looking back on it. The floor of the beach is pebbles, there is no sand. It is constantly changing and morphing as waves crash and your feet try to settle, it's a strange sensation, in my inebriated state probably a dangerous combination as well.       ... comfortable with a certain amount of familiaralty. My understanding of the launguage seems better after listening to our Micheal Thomas recordings. I was able to speak in French to get the train tickets, breakfast and the French people really appreciate it when you try - they will reply in English sometimes.
