... in Dubrovnik has inevitably passed to both Dad & I so all three of us have been coughing, sneezing and groaning throughout the past few days and our supplies of Nurofen are severely dwindling.

All that aside, we are still making the most of our time in Nice for the few hours a day that we have enough energy to drag ourselves off the couch (incidentally the apartment we are staying in has a very large and comfy corner couch).

It was raining really hard out and we were sitting in the covered patio area. I enjoyed the people-watching while we waited for our food. Our server had to prepare a seafood mix tray and we were amazed by his skilled hands as he was holding an umbrella with one hand and cracking open the oyster shells with the other hand. ... Seguimos caminando hasta el Castillo de Montjüic y aprovechando ver el mar desde ahí arriba. También visitamos los “maravillosos” jardines que nos recomendaron, que esperamos que hayan sido así de insulsos por ser invierno… porque la verdad no tenían nada especial, era todo verde y con lagunitas de 2 x2 artificiales con piso celeste, ni siquiera se gastaron en poner piedritas lindas y pececitos =(

De ahí caminamos hasta la villa olímpica de 1992, muy linda ...

... tono franchute de inglés…. No es "you have to wait for half an hour", es: “iu gav tu gueit for ahhh…. halv an awuer” .. asquerosos!!

Después de esperar nos dice muy tranquila: “bueno, agarren sus valijas que yo las llevo”

... real) strawberries and cream tart for Debbie - from a patisserie just up the road from our hotel, and enjoyed some afternoon The Mole watching (we're just starting season 2 now!).

And then dinner tonight was a kind of homemade pizza each from a different patisserie/boulangerie not far. They didn't look overly huge, but they were incredibly filling, with plenty of cheese, tomatoes, olives, ham and basil.

Like I said, definitely a great day today!
