Luckily no cramps last night but it was cold this morning. There was plenty of rustling around in the dark, starting at 6am, from the bunks below with Linda and our American getting ready for the walk. We were all at a disadvantage on the upper bunks, not having any opportunity to get ready. Anyway, we dressed and went down for breakfast at 7.15am. Had a bucket of coffee with lots of milk and bread and jam. Picked up our baguettes and went and ...

Day 2 of the Camino This was a hard day. I don't write that lightly. After leaving Orrison at 800 metres on the morning we climb to around 1450 metres to one of the highest points on the Camino at Col de Lepoeder. The weather was not good. We ran down to the shop at 9ish and bought four bottles of vino for 5-6 of us and had a really funny evening. Woke up at 5:12am to people getting ready for the day. I 'snoozed' for a bit and finally got up at about 5:40. Put on my cloths, brushed my teeth, had some breakfast and left. Got out of the hostel @ ...

... go somewhere to eat, after looking at a few places we settled on one. We tried to order but they spoke no English. We managed to get drinks fine, Sangria & Beer - easy translation. When we asked for tapa's, he responded in Spanish, still no idea. Then he seemed to ask if we wanted six of something (there were six of us), we decided we'd just go with it, what's the worst that would happen. Out came six meals of Chorizo, eggs & potato. Not what we had ...

... original, which is distinguished by their red glass eyes. The wall was originally built in 1892, by the owner of the time (supposed richest guy in the world at the time), because he wanted to have a zoo inside the castle walls, but as that was declined, he built statues of animals trying to escape from the castle. - The sirens were exactly the same in Cardiff as they were in London, being deafening and completely over the top. - On the walk down to the Bay, we were stopped by a ...
