        ... out of him at one stage.... even though he reckoned he didn't know the lyrics :) It was a fun tour - Wends and Lisa - you would have loved it ! and I'm sure you would have done yourselves proud during the sing-a-long bits - we were thinking about you :) Hope some of you die hard Julie Andrews fans recognise a few of the locations in the photos.... enjoy.... I'm off to watch the film again to spot some of the shots :) ...

        12.30am and I was still awake as the music from the upstairs apartment was making it impossible for me to go to sleep. Thinking that midnight was about as fair as I was going to be by 12.30am I was not a happy camper so off I set, in my pj's, up the stairs and rang the doorbell.

        The music was so loud they didn’t even hear me ringing the doorbell or knocking but the door eventually opened as someone was stepping outside. As luck would have it the son answered. ...

        Today we headed out of town to Eisriesenwelt, an ice cave that was discovered in the Hochkogel mountain in the Tennengebirge section of the Alps. Yet again it was a beautiful drive, but we soon found out that we couldn't drive the whole way up. We parked the car and made our way to the ticket counter, working hard to overtake as many people as we could on the walk so that we would be in line before them. She practically shoved over a sweet little old British lady in order to snag the table.         Went into the center to Mozartplatz and walked around the old town. The I walked up a mountain to the Salzburg Fortress, started in the early 12th century and was never taken.
