... in the picture. There were many Kolsch brauhauses around and we stopped for lunch at Brauhaus Sion. People were dressed up everywhere like it was Halloween and we later discovered it was a carnival. Annissa tried the currywurst and I had a foot long bratwurst with fried potatoes and a creamy cabbage. The people next to us had pork knuckles and what must have been a 6 foot long bratwurst. ... 2010! Marie lived with us for 3 months in 2010 and again for a few weeks in 2011 while she was a Rotary Exchange Student sent to Proserpine. Marie has developed into a beautiful, confident and caring adult. Marie moved to Cologne about 18 months to take up studies at the Cologne University and is from all accounts progressing well.

One last day, what to do? How about shop. We all took our time getting ready this morning and headed out to the other item on the agenda for Bonn. It was one of the things that the kids were looking forward to the whole trip. To the Haribo store (maker of Gummy Bears) we were headed. It was a 5 km trip from our hotel.
