We had another great stay at this castle hotel. The room was lovely, but the mattress was a little hard. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was delicious. I had steak with a white bean fennel purée.thor had lamb. The desert was creme brûlée with a raspberry sauce.

Lazy Sundays are great for reconnecting with friends. We slept very well after the previous evening's birthday celebration for Joe. Whitney had made an incredibly delicious chocolate peanut butter cake and we toasted the occasion with our first German beer. Sunday morning came a little sooner than expected, at least sooner than I would have liked. Our gracious hosts allowed us to sleep until noon, of which I took full advantage to deal a final blow to ...

Greetings! This morning Tony was up baking Swedish pan cake before we woke. He takes after his dad in so many ways, he is becoming a good cook like him. Then we took a tour around post and got to see where they work, shop etc. Later in the morning We walked around a quaint little town ...

Well I survived the Autobahn from Munich to Tony & Jessi's house. It was pretty scary but Jessis friend Megan did a great job getting us there safely! I love my new fur grand baby Dominik! He's such a good boy! And I think Draco remembered us which I was happy about! We are just settling in right now drinking some German beers. Tony is grilling us steaks tonight for dinner along with asparagus and ...

... 12 bodies on top of one another to save space. We also saw the Lennon wall, the Metronome, and the castle. The bad part about the day was that my dad got pick pocketed (most likely on the tram). It was really stressful and disappointing. But another lesson learned about getting pick pocketed. :/Watch your wallets in ...

... It's a little bit different atmosphere walking around here, and we're trying to blend in, although I feel as though we REALLY stick out. Everyone seems very well dressed and "cool." I really like it here. When we got back from Bamberg today there was a festival in Weiden, so after we went to a Greek restaurant and got 3 rounds of free ouzo, we joined in to sing with a backstreet boys' cover band with some other Germans. It was great. Can't wait for tomorrow ...
