... pisco sours for lunch-beautiful. We also managed to get some more Argentinian pesos from a little currency exchange bureau. We had originally gone looking to change Chilean pesos into the all important US Dollars, however after much tooing and froing, the guy offered to exchange our Chilean Pesos for Argentinian Pesos at a better rate than we would get exchanging dollars in Argentina. So obviously we kindly accepted his offer..... Guess he doesn't rate the Argentinian currency much ...

... I had to push. The rain strengthened to what I would call a monsoon, flooding the road. With the rain and slow progress, night fell.

The rain was heavy enough to pool in the crooks on the inside of my jacket at the elbows. Every time I stood up, a pint of water poured into my gloves.

I inevitably fell again in the dark on one nasty decent. This time I just scraped my shin a bit and reopened the cuts on my hands. At least I had been wearing my thick gloves. ...

We avoided the rough seas last night - waves were to be as high as 5 meters or 16 feet, but we thankfully pulled into Relconvavi Sound early because of increased speed by the captain. We are on time as usual and get set for the tender into town. Today looks like yet another overcast and rainy day. We are apparently the first cruise ship of the season.

They had completed it up until the glacier visit and would add the following days activities that evening and show us the remainder then.
