Having left Singapore at 6:40 am Tuesday morning, I arrived in Marmaris, Turkey about 11 am this morning (Wednesday) - roughly 36 hours in that travel leg, taking account of time differences. I am looking forward to bed tonight - my first night's sleep in a bed since last Sunday night. I was somewhat anxious about travelling Malaysian Airlines, but actually it was quite good - the A380 was only ...

We went to the 'car cemetery' where we enjoyed a few cocktails, shots and free ...

My forfeight was to buy them chocolate which earned me a place in the 'Chelsea Club' which is the 'cool club' according to the 2nd youngest. It's a dodgy club though, you can need 25 points to join and I started on minus figures. Points were awarded and deducted by the kids for pretty much anything. Laura wasn't penalised for chasing them with a dead fish but I was deducted five for pointing this out. We ...

He was keeping geese and hens (including one which had 6 chicks! awwwwwww!!!) a few goats and lots of mosquitos. His wife sat us all down and poured us some more Turkish Coffee. Poor Laura had nothing again and we sat and chatted as much as you can between people who do not speak any of the same language. He loved that we were English and Americans. His wife had been to Brighton 32 years ago and we had a ...
