Imagine riding a drunken camel across uneven sand. Barf bags have been deployed and for some reason regular passengers have left for the back of the "State of the art" watercraft. You may have seen if you saw Sean Connery in Casino Royal. I'm sure it's not as rough as say the Hecate straight or the open water off cape Scott but like anywhere the greatest force you encounter is your own fear. Suliman the great amassed a 200,000 man army and attacked Rhodes. I'm ...

No one seems to be able to spell the name Fethiye twice in a row the same way. (Lisa has found us a top floor suite complete with a decent sized balcony with a humming bird filled giant bougainvillea. I mean giant. Its a beautiful apartment/hotel and we have 4 days here @ CDN $35 per night.) It's a city by the sea. Levelled by an earthquake in 1957. I thought I could feel something in my crib. Ok. Luckily Dave's trip to the bins hadn't emptied all the rubbish so crown was duly recovered and returned to its owner for safe ...

'Turkey times' was Kell, Steph and myself's little chant when we were in turkey. The final day of sailing was just like any other day- eat, swim, tan and repeat. This was on the Friday as we headed back to port to spend the final night in fethyie. Tara (top deck organiser) arranged for us to head to a few spots in town. We went to the 'car cemetery' where we enjoyed a few cocktails, shots and free ...

... play in their toothpick fencing games and beating me hands down. My forfeight was to buy them chocolate which earned me a place in the 'Chelsea Club' which is the 'cool club' according to the 2nd youngest. It's a dodgy club though, you can need 25 points to join and I started on minus figures. Points were awarded and deducted by the kids for pretty much anything. Laura wasn't penalised for chasing them with a dead fish but I was deducted five for pointing this out. We ...
