... sulphur which certainly left is in awe of it. The last eruption was in 1969 but the park had been closed in 1992 when seismic activity predicted one around the corner. From the viewing points around the crater you were able to see far across Java to mountain ranges - allegedly on a clear day being able to see 300km! Unfortunately we didn't have that privilege, evidently just having gone higher than the cloud lining so the view was masked by those in the distance. ...

... we headed back to Jakarta around 1500 hours, a ride that took less time than had been estimated. Three hours later (!) we checked into the Sheraton for the night. At 0700 Ali was waiting in the lobby with flight confirmations in hand and dropped us off for our 95 minute flight to Semarang where our ship would be. For all of you who enjoy flying, you'd really enjoy Semarang INTERNATIONAL airport. As I ...

... nt been to any of these except Bandung; but have heard a lot of good stuff about it from others that have, and me and my 220 will go there some day as an when i get time. "Saya mau lihat Indonesia semua!"
For an expat, motorcycle touring might not be the best and the safest way to go around – but it sure is rewarding, traveling dengen orang Indonesia, sama orang Indonesia!

Will write more on the other tours as and when I get to go somewhere! Till then, ride safe!

... the worst headache of my life with no Advil in sight. I tried tea, sleep and showering, but nothing prevailed. I eventually managed to get to sleep, but it would've been nice to have Kyle. It's definitely lonely without him in the house.

Well that's my first Indonesian birthday, which was very nice despite the lack lustre glamorous adventure that was Kyle's birthday. I liked having a good day and good company, and lots of great messages on Facebook. Definitely something I can be happy about!
