... Palace. Nessebar as well as being picturesque is Souvenir Central with a variety of shops and cafes lining the pretty streets. It is located on a small rocky isthmus in the Black Sea , is a UNESCO World Heritage site and dates back to 3000 BC. We love it here and spent the afternoon wandering about enjoying the town. Later we had dinner on our balcony, accompanied by Bulgarian Beer and Bulgarian Wine, and then went for a walk along the waterside in the cool of the evening.

... coastline. Back into the town you get to another of the major sites, the church of Pantocrator. This site is located in a pretty, picturesque squares near to a open air market. Although Nessebar is a nice town to spend a few hours and makes a change from the commercialism of the rest of the Black Sea coast, there was little else to see after this so after a bite to eat I caught the ferry back to Sunny Beach.

From the outside this place looks like a giant fun centre and casino. When we got closer, we saw that it actually was just that. It has a casino, tenpin bowling alley, water slides and swimming pools plus hotel resort. The pools and waterslides were not functioning due to the time of year but we did enjoy a few games of tenpin bowling. The rooms were not too badly priced, we had to get a studio (2 x double beds) as everything else ...

... I also went to another Revivalist house museum which was totally preserved. I think I was the only one who had been to see it that day as it was all shut up and I had to get the woman out to let me in! The new town still has some nice houses as well but not quite so many. But for a second city it is quite small, I pretty much saw everything I wanted to see yesterday so today was just more of a wander for the sake of it today. I could have left on the 2pm train today but ...
