... as his own) and a magnet or some such trinket before heading back on ship. The good thing is we were all back aboard in time for trivia, so after getting settled putting away the days "finds", I headed up to the Crows Nest Lounge and the daily trivia contest. We have been playing, the four of us and another couple Ken and Wanda, since we first boarded on the 5th. I have not played everyday, but someone has represented us each day. For every ...
Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden ohiolair... somebody forgot to lock the office and I was able to use their phone to dial the number. The owner is a really nice guy and it's a decent hostel, though there are no lockers and there aren't that many bathrooms or showers. The free internet was a plus; I'll be banging out a few travel blogs while I'm staying here. It's also got a big, modern kitchen and comfy couches in the TV/internet room. I checked in and went to my room to find it full with a ...
Stockholm, Sweden pwong... So delicious I ate it 3 days in a row. We then went with our group to the Vasa Museum which houses the "worlds largest jigsaw puzzle." A miraculous ship that was built in Stockholm, set sail on the brackish waters, sunk, and was luckily preserved in mud for over 300 years. In the 1970's it was recovered piece by piece, preserved, and now on display. Afterwards, we ate lunch at a Chinese buffet then walked to the university to hear some lectures. In the evening we ...
Stockholm, Sweden kyle-and-lisa... parts of the city are two islands, one is small and houses the Royal palace and other important government buildings. The larger island has the old town on it. Thin medieval streets separate 16th and 17th century houses with neat shops on the ground floor. On this island are the Royal apartments, church with clock tower, a town square, the Nobel Museum and other cool stuff. We arrived in Stockholm about 4:00pm and we found our way to the hostel, which was actually a ...
Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden tbassplayer... nights and had a lot of fun, except for the fact that most places require you to be 20 or older to get in adn Britt Inga is only 19... and Krisitn (who was the who reason we went to Stockholm, since it was her 21st b-day) grabbed a student id instead of her passport or drivers license. So we couldnt really get in anywhere. So we headed back to our hotel and went down to the second floor, which was the bar and decided we were not old enough to be there but went in ...
Stockholm, Sweden julieflickner3Arrival in *Stockholm to beautiful sunshine and with a ridiculously sized hangover not good! we had to find Murrays "friend " Elins house on the outskirts. i had heard a lot of things abnout her from Murray and was looking forward to meeting her, and Judging her! All is well and Murray has done well she is at least a 7 and there is room for argument that she is higher. She is extremly friendly and sorts us out with getting bus tickets which was useful. we got ...
Stockholm, Sweden barber.timothy... 3: I had a couple of things that I needed to get and wanted a cheaper alternative to shopping malls. So I woke up early this morning and headed for the largest flea market in Scandinavia. It was disappointing. It was small and pale in comparison to the ones that I have visited in the US. I had to pay 15kr (~$2) to get in. The rain clouds are starting to appear and I quickly returned to my apt to wait out the rain. Sure ...
Stockholm, Sweden jolenewee... so we queued up for ages to find out what they were going to do about it and to be fair they were really helpful. They rescheduled us onto a flight via Stockholm in Sweeden but we had to run to the gate as it was leaving shortly. So we legged it up stairs and there was a massive queue at security, when we eventually got through i got through fine but Tom's tray got pulled out for a closer inspection. However the tray getting inspected before his was of an aging American woman who ...

Stockholm, Sweden maibanerI had arrived on a Tuesday night flight, and early Wednesday morning Tony and I would join his parents on the hour or so drive into Stockholm city, drop the rents off at work and take the car. For the next 4 days the car would be ours to drive 5 hour North West of Stockholm to the small village of Salen. Tony and his brother Fredrick had arranged for the 3 of us to stay 4 ...
