    No need for an alarm this morning - I was awake @ about 5 a.m. But that’s not too bad considering the 3 hour time difference from home. This morning we headed to the Rock….the infamous Alcatraz Prison! We hopped on a vintage streetcar and headed to Pier 33 where the ferry boats leave for Alcatraz.     ... town on the bay just before you hit the G.G. Bridge. It has a marina with lots of little eateries and shops on the main road through it, all overlooking the water. We did love sitting in the sun on the marina rocks for lunch. Also, we felt like we were back home, saw hundreds of cyclists travel past during our short visit.     Our second day in San Francisco was pretty good, but before we had even had breakfast my past was already out to haunt me!! We were walking down the road and stopped into a pub to go to the bathroom, I look up, and low and behold the Richmond vs Carlton final was playing on their TV............
