No need for an alarm this morning - I was awake @ about 5 a.m. But that’s not too bad considering the 3 hour time difference from home. This morning we headed to the Rock….the infamous Alcatraz Prison! We hopped on a vintage streetcar and headed to Pier 33 where the ferry boats leave for Alcatraz. It was a beautiful blue sky day, but still glad I was wearing a jacket…it was a wee bit chilly! It’s all about the layers!!

... town on the bay just before you hit the G.G. Bridge. It has a marina with lots of little eateries and shops on the main road through it, all overlooking the water. We did love sitting in the sun on the marina rocks for lunch. Also, we felt like we were back home, saw hundreds of cyclists travel past during our short visit. Our second day in San Francisco was pretty good, but before we had even had breakfast my past was already out to haunt me!!
