... his painting technique developed. So much valuable information to complement the little that we previously new about him. My favourite painting were his Irises - and it was interesting to learn that they were originally purple, but the red pigment in the paint has faded out over the years.

Stayed until the museum closed at 6.00 and wandered our way back into the city for some dinner, then on the train back to the same ...

... little removed from the tourist trap. It was a good 20 minute walk from the station if you knew where you were going and didn't have a big bag on your back, but we managed to find it without too much bother. After we checked in we went for a walk around the lanes and canals. We headed for Piazza San Marco first and then just wandered around. ... pizza for lunch, before walking into the town to buy some souvenirs.

After returning to the Tent Village in the afternoon, it started to rain again, however we were feeling like doing something fun so we all jumped in the hot tub, which was actually quite nice while being hit in the face by ice cold rain.

That night we checked out the bar at Balmer's (our first hostel), and had some pretty foul tasting wheat beer before heading back to the tent village.
