      ... pans with onions and then they are topped with a creamy white garlic sauce. Yummy. Of course we had bratwurst, some cinnamon almonds and some roasted chestnuts. These Christmas markets are all a little different. This one is not as big. It sold much of the same wooden carved handicrafts, soap, woolen scarves and hats, jewelry, leather goods, soft stuffed toys and had a carrousel. This one had a beautiful stall of hand made books with tooled leather covers ...

      Ignoring the typical grey sky of a North German autumn we headed out to the spectacular town of Monschau which was established about 1000 years ago. On the way we passed through Holland and Belgium to reach this small German town, an experience that is incomprehensible to an Australian mindset.

      Left for belgium this morning. Just entered the french speaking country and I read about some caves in liege, belgium that I will try to find. And then onto brussels.. an intereting thing in europe is all the public bathrooms cost money to use... here are some pictures of the roads. The sign that looks like a ghost busters sign means theres no speed ...

      ... evening. We ended up being stranded in a town in the middle of Nowhere, Germany and ended up staying the night in an odd little inn. We got up early the next morning to catch a 6:30am train and were back on our way. After a full 24 hours of traveling, we finally reached our hostel and were able to check in to our rooms at long last. It was a total fluke of a stop and although we never intended to, we added a pin in our map somewhere in northern Germany.

      ... mega loud!! No rain today which was unusual for Spa but good for us. Just cold and breezy. Got to a maximum of 16 degrees but we were better dressed today. Drivers parade of top 10 which was a bit of a let down. Formula 1 started at 2pm. Exciting! Great race with Ricciardo again showing he has the goods. Go you good thing!
