    So, after all the waiting we did, we are actually in Germany! The plane wasn't very comfortable, and a couple of us were forced into seats that didn't recline (making sleeping hard, painful work) but we didn't crash and burn, so thats a plus! But anyway, we're in Germany now! A new country and continent! This is really cool for those of us who have never been out of the country before! Well, I guess that's all that has happened so far.     ... a taxi to Landstuhl and got a room at a great hotel next to the train station. Parker got to have some beloved schnitzel for dinner and we got our train tickets ready for tomorrow.     ... bratwurst, fricadellas,and Lyoners together with potato salad and other salads. Wonderful German cakes from a special bakery in Niedermor. It was a grand feast and just like old times. The weather was warm and beautiful. Dunja and Stefan with Mia and Lea came also. And Evie and Peter Kerchner visited also.

    ... VNF man who came quite quickly. Eventually the gates opened. We waited for the lights and eventually he came out and told us to go in and they would operate it manually. It had apparently been hit by lightning but it held us up for almost 2 hours.
