Time to check my gear for the Iceland-Trip this summer. Because all of it is either brand new (like the trekking poles), or I haven't use it for years (the hiking boots). Later we went out to a nice Italian restaurant for dinner. Had an early night to bed as we were still ...

A pleasant day spent on board cruising but it was a long one being eight hours on the water. We all assumed a role as the 17 locks become same same, this is not to say that we were uninterested but a hard boat to paddle with ...

... VNF man who came quite quickly. Eventually the gates opened. We waited for the lights and eventually he came out and told us to go in and they would operate it manually. It had apparently been hit by lightning but it held us up for almost 2 hours.

Without further incident we arrived at our destination of Sarreguemines, where we moored up. A lady from one of the other boats told us where the supermarket was just over the bridge, so off we went and ...
