The boat traveled all night arriving in Devin (Austria) slightly before 9 am...we again woke to morning mist ( which is probably the norm along the Danube...and doesn't lift before afternoon) The biking trail began by going around Devin Castle (ruins...the castle was destroyed in 1809) before heading through bush and on a bumpy track for 5 km. We then came to the Schloss Hot...a magnificent baroque Imperial Palace...I wanted to see the ...

Afterwards we had some dinner, traditional Slovak food and went to see a play that his friend was in (which had English ...

With few landmarks to track down, the ones which remain or are present have this unique difference in a subtle manner. Whether its a distinct white presence or sculptors upon the eaves of the ...

... It was very much like the markets found in Vienna.

Finally, it was time to leave. We, however, lingered for another fifteen minutes, and, upon determining that we were waiting at the wrong bus stop, began a run over a bridge crossing the Danube, which broke into a full-blown sprint as we saw our bus rounding the corner of the highway. Bookending our day in the same way it had begun, we made it to the bus with perhaps seconds to spare, and headed back to Vienna.
