    We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
    The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

    ... but as I was trying to figure out which adapter to use [the kit I bought had several] some oafish Mediterranean-looking guy butted in and took it. The guy seriously looked like he was about to play a round at Casa Blanca then pound some brews at Hal's. Or Rumors. I found a place to lie down in a booth in the dining area.     ... bus driver to tell us when to get off and to arrange for a taxi to take us to the connecting bus at a nearby terminal once we arrived - a total gem. So, we were taken for a ride, figuratively and literally, by the Greek bus company. They sold us the ticket to Albania for a trip that they said would take 7hrs but ended up taking closer to 16hrs however, I would do it all again tomorrow if it meant I still got to meet Tomi.     PS- I was going to write a blog about England's World Cup campaign, but blog entry's have to be at least 100 characters and I couldn't make my feelings stretch that far. I'm not one to dwell on the negatives, so I'm not going to write about them. My positive thoughts on it are as follows:

It is her second day in Albania but I find out she has been to many spots such as Uganda, Tunisia and Libya which I thought would not be safe especially for a 35 yo woman travelling alone. I decide to catch the small ferry across the river to see a couple of old forts that are over there and she comes along as well. We see the triangular fort and Ali Pasha's castle. ...
