... friendly to us, so LA and Empoli quickly became friends during a delicious pizza dinner. After dinner, Empoli wanted a chance at redemption, not in water polo, but instead in soccer. Despite all odds, LA had once again beaten Empoli, this time 3-1 in yet another intense game. They served us dessert, a Nutella pizza, which was so delicious that everyone, even the coaches, ate. After, LA returned to the hotel to get packed up and prepared for tomorrow's four hour trip to ...

... We have hiked the entire 4.25 km once and you can also rent bikes to ride around. With all of my indulging in fine Tuscan cuisine I have decided to run around the walls every few days. I just about died the first time and got drenched the second time but it is getting easier.

We have visited a few churches here and have a day trip planned to Florence on Tuesday. We will also visit Pisa before flying to France on Friday.

... attended a concert in the botanical gardens. For the price of admission (3 Euros or about $4), I heard a trio (piano, violin and cornet) playing Mozart and Brahms. Once again I felt the spirit of my Dad very close. This morning I climbed to the top of the Torre Guinigi, one of the surviving medieval towers. There are actually trees planted at the top along with amazing views of Lucca of course. As soon as I finish this post, I'm going to ...
