... in the Magnificat view of the multicolored houses on the hills by the sa. The back to the train for another town of Mananorola. Here we had several hours for lunch and shopping. Carbon copy repeat of a previous experience trying to sail into Portofino - rough seas meant it was too dangerous to tender ashore, so instead we docked in Genoa.

Having explored the city on that last visit, we chose to still take a shore excursion to visit the picturesque towns of Sestri Levante & Rapallo

... that afternoon. There was a really cool, ancient statue of Neptune on the beach, some nice hiking trails, and we had dinner at a fancy restaurant called Miky. It was soooooo good, except Amir didn't like his lobster dish because it was too much effort to open. I just love the feel of Cinque Terre and cannot wait to spend a whole week or two there sometime.
