      Come to Como

We arrived in Como after a long drive from Bassano via Verona and the Hertz office to replace, yet again, the GPS. The Neverlost might be the case on the odd occasion that it works, but without it getting lost is actually quite simple. Anyway, we found the office and a very kind man who quickly replaced the unit and we were on our way. Verona had been recommended to us as a place to visit - not sure why. It is a flat industrial city with plenty ...

We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. I really enjoyed my trip to Switzerland. Another country crossed off the list.

That’s all for now so I can get into my G & T. Matt and Jenny are making Pizzas. They have started started from scratch, making the dough and so on. It should be good.

PS - in reply to Lorena's question about the Aussie flag, I don't know. I came across this tattered old Aussie flag n a random flagpole in Bellagio.

... Parc, which was once upon a time a grand mansion. The lady in charge was much more accommodating and congenial than her terse colleague. Even so, it was a shame to miss the chance to visit the two very picturesque and celebrated offshore islands, but our hearts would not have been in it. We did take it in turns to venture outside for a bit of light shopping. The GLW returned with armfuls of ties, scarves and a very fetching wraparound shawl-cum-poncho. And some ...
