It was hard to enjoy it with the cold rain and soggy pant legs, so I made it an early day and went back to Milan. I guess it is good that the rain came on my last day in Italy, makes it easier to leave. Tomorrow I am heading north again, this time to Switzerland and Zurich. Think I will have to layer on a bit more to keep warm this time.

Day trip to Switzerland
Today we decide to do a day trip to Switzerland and on route we stopped off at the Porlezza markets to take a look. There are lots of nice things to tempt the shopper in all of us here , leather bags ladies clothes shoes etc all at very reasonable prices, but our backpacks are already swelling with clothes etc that we had brought from home so the wallet was spared the flurry of cash departing. ... Oh! le soleil essait de se montrer le bout du nez par moment. On passe devant un marche; fromage, pain, et oignon? oui bcp d oignon... euh ok! ce sont des produits, de Bern! jai meme pris une photo de votre drapeau les boys de Lucerne, Kaspar, Michael et Leroy! La vue est magnifique ici! Michael vient me porter a mon auberge. Merci pour tout!!! Cetait super de faire ta connaissance!

A tour of the Lakes & Milan
... come prepared. A little difficult to shop with grumpy & tired kids at tow. The glassed-roofed Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II was fascinating and I could not stop the shutter of my camera from taking photos but unfortunately there we so many people that you could not really get great photos. This Galleria became the model for shopping malls all over the world. The Milan Cathedral was free to enter much to our amazement. Something free at ...
