The music was great and it was a most enjoyable ...

I would compare it to the rolling hills of upstate New York where Grandma Buckhout/Lorentson used to live. Narrow roads winding up, down, and around, and then through small communities. The exception to this was the size of the pastures at the tops of the hills, those brought to mind Montana, especially as we got further east and could at times make out ...

... are attacked. There are spear and sword fights and lots of shooting from cannons. It's not dangerous, just loud and young children tend to be scared - there is usually one in the crowd of a hundred or so people who is crying. Normally the parent is trying to reassure them while he/she desperately tries to catch a glimpse of this fantastic re-enactment.
