... s what I call a good start to the day. I rest on my bed when I got back and I must have nodded off because when I opened my eyes it was 9.15am, I got packed and made my way to reception for checkout. There were three ladies on reception and all very polite, the reception manager was very chatty and inquired what hotel I worked at, this lead to a long conversation about my travels and future plans, I think they will be looking to travel soon as they were jealous that ...

Woke at 7.30 again and I was ready for some breakfast, I had the usual hot breakfast with a Danish pastry for after and banana also pot of coffee and glass of apple juice, well I got good value for the €5 I paid, just one of the perks working for Marriott hotels gets you. Set my alarm for 7.30 as I wanted to go for breakfast before it got busy, Sunday's are usually busy after 9.00am, there were only a few people down for breakfast already and it was the usual choice for breakfast, cereal, fruit, pastries and hot selection, on this buffet they had little potatoes and meat balls for a change and they were very nice indeed. After breakfast I went for a walk around the Alster lake, it was really cold and wish I had taken my gloves ...

I used the on line check in again on this trip and printed off my boarding pass before I left as I didn't take any luggage apart from my back pack, I only need essentials for a short trip like this, it's so much quicker as there is no queuing until your hand luggage is checked and that's a very quick proses too. I even had time for an early morning coffee ...

Hamburg

... the German national anthem. I wish I knew the lyrics. Yet, this game was very epic so it didn't really matter. Upon the first goal, there was so much cheering and music playing the "woo hoo" song. Everyone jumped out of their chairs and were screaming. Upon the second goal, same thing but even more excitement. This happened thee more times in the matter of 25 minutes. I believe by the 45:00 min marker Germany had either 5 or 6 goals and Brazil 0. The entire bar was going wild and ...
