... behind us and befriended a girl from the States. She had been traveling for six months and planned to be in Breda before departing Europe. As it turned out, she was also in our pub crawl group!

We had a great time that night and happened to also meet up with a family from New Zealand who were advertising the Gingergella Ginger Ale! They told me where to meet them the next day to get a shirt and I even posed for ...

Hi everyone! We had a pretty uneventful trip by train and plane other than a long wait to get on the plane in Marseille, but we got here safe and sound, and our cousins Stanley and Corrie were there waiting for us when we got off the plane. (New country, new name for Jean. You can call him Jan now which is pronounced "Yahn.") Jan had never met them before, but they made him feel welcome immediately.

Hello Readers,

Welcome to The Netherlands, or Holland as some may call it! Right away we experienced a slight hiccup in the plans. I was sure that we had booked accommodations in Rotterdam, but when we arrived to my dismay I discovered I had booked us in a town called Utrecht, halfway across the country. Fortunately it's a small country, so an unexpected 30 min train ride later we were in the small town of Utrecht.

... like hallway with a roomkey activated door. It felt pretty cool to open the doors with a card. It had only two beds and a little table in the corner, two chairs(which we used as a table) and a airplane-like bathroom.
I took a shower and got in bed. I wanted to watch the Germany-Greece soccer game, but fell asleep while Dad was in the shower.
It was a very exhausting day but we were in Europe and though a bit moody and tired; I was very happy!
