... the castle ruins/ part of the town, then found a bar that was high up. Here i had a cocktail and watched the sun set. I then went looking for a place to eat. I found a nice place that had good food, and free WiFi. I ate dinner and facebooked mum and dad who were having their hast day in New york. After dinner i went to another bar, had a drink, walked around the area and then returned to the hotel/hostel. Here i
talked to various roommates and then went to bed.

... island for tomorrow. I then walked into the port area of town, then had dinner at a roof top restaurant, it had great views of the sun setting, also had good food. After dinner i wandered around the town, i went to the bookshop, went and picked up a new hat and some souvenirs. I then got a drink and some bananoff pie at this beer palace cafe, i then walked to the beach and walked along it. I had a drink, relaxed in a chair and then headed back to the hotel/hostel and did some reading before bed.

Here i had a coffee and some dessert, then went for a walk back to st Georges beach, took a seat at one of the beach side bars and had a drink here, i then walked along to another bar and had a different drink. After that i walked back to the hostel, read for a bit and then went to bed.

A travel blog entry by jspence on Jul 02, 2013

We flew in to Athens on the 23rd of June. We stayed at a great place called Hotel Neos Olympus where we had our own private room with an airconditioner, which proved to be a very important asset - it was about an average of 35 degrees each day in Athens! we were so ready to get to the islands as soon as possible so we could soak up in the clear ocean. Athens was very well connected through the tube station which we used alot, however, overall our impression wasn't as great ...

... down to the port. At the moment I am at the port having a drink and am dreading the uphill back home. I went to an area called little Venice( I think every town has one of these) which has a lot of shops. I then went towards the sea and found a " beach" which is really a concrete slab where one can jump off from into the sea. It is in a little cove so much more wind sheltered than anywhere else. The water is see through and an amazing colour and not too cold- only put my feet in. ...
