... t have much to say about my emotional experience. Upon landing back in the Netherlands I felt angry, disappointed, upset and very much small and insignificant. Why was I dealt such a lucky hand? ... a 1 1/2 hour walking tour to view the windmills and go inside a working mill. Wonderful tour guide, Eta, who volunteers as tour guide in her spare time. Any tips that she receives as a guide are donated back to the windmills for upkeep and maintenance. We departed at 11:30 to travel to Rotterdam where we will join the Rhine River. ... alone. Wonder if they get hurt? Wonder if there was a case of stranger danger? Or wonder if the kids simply fight? Although I will say this- the Dutch kids looked very mature and handled themselves nicely on the playground.

Why did I give you that story? Answer: to fill writing space. There is nothing much to the town of Kinderdijk except for the beautiful windmills. Although this place is our inspiration to dive into our pockets and buy a new camera. Such a shame ...
