The next tutorial, we all just discuss the literature based on the learning objectives. There is no professor sitting in front of us telling us what we need to know, generally we need to figure it out on our own.

... Prince Carnaval symbolically runs the city during Carnaval. The mayor hands over the key to the city and then the celebration begins and lasts until they transfer it back. Well the Prince Carnaval, it turns out, was the baker with the giant head, and they take him up to a stage in the middle of the Markt, parade him around for a bit, sing some, and then unveil who it is. Today was a day to get a lot of stuff done. I had to go to ING Bank today because money in the Netherlands is a lot harder than I expected. I can't use my visa card practically anywhere because it doesn't have a little chip in it that all European cards have, so basically it's useless and getting cash is expensive and a hassle.
