This is a less expensive hotel on the beach of Brasilito. We went for supper, it was ok - a smidgen less cost than other places we had eaten but definitely not as good.

We each had a drink, guacamole, Roger had chicken, the girls had fish and chips, I had 2 chicken skewers. It was $32,000 Colones = $59 USD.

Even though the area was fairly nice, just across from the beach and a bar next door and some little food places we got a room that had no AC and it was ridiculously HOT. I mean it was suffocating and the Ceiling Fan did nothing to help. I went outside late at night as it was slightly cooler. I had to shower several time during the night to keep cool. Sleep was must unrestful. The hotel did try to keep its rooms clean and I would not complain on that part. The restaurant/bar was also nice...expensive but nice to sit and relax. If you stay...get a Room with AC. It would have been much better if we did.

We spent the day exploring the area in Brasilto, Playa Flamingo, Playa Potrero. I think you definitely need a vehicle to go out and exploring. We are also interested in either living here full time or part time. Our definitely favourite area is Playa Flamingo, it appeared this was the highest concentration of people/tourists in the area. It took us …

... for dinner. We picked a restaurant called Ginger outside of the resort. We took a short 10 minute ride to Ginger which is a nice upscale restaurant in the town of Hermosa. The restaurant was an Asian tapas style restaurant and the food was fantastic. At dinner we met a couple and their son from Evanston, Illinois. Apparently we will be on the same flight home together this Sa***************ed back to the resort after dinner and had a night cap at the bar ...

... ages to work! 82: So it's my birthday today and I started off the day opening some cards from home. For the first time on this trip I feel a bit homesick, I think I'm so used to being in England for my birthday, or at least with my family for it when I had birthdays in France, that it feels a bit odd. Saying that my birthdays are usually a bit of a disappointment, I tend to have a more enjoyable time at Christmas. I think this is because, as I've said before, I ...

... it working ok and it is definitely better to use underwater, just takes some practice. And it's super heavy! Saying that though I managed to get some awesome photos on my little digital camera. Pentax you rule. I seriously recommend these cameras to everyone! After the diving we went and edited some of the photos on photoshop and discussed which ones we thought were good, which ones were bad and why. Anyway check out the photos and see if you think I did a good job ...

... assumed that was the person and carried on his way. I woke up a few hours later and found out what happened and ended up hundreds of miles away from where I need to be. And nobody informed me of the time difference which explains why I went on to miss a further 2 buses before getting woken up in a bus station and rushed onto the last night bus. Ended up, instead of being a 6 or 7 hour journey, with it taking me 33 hours!! Oh well, you live and ...
