This is a less expensive hotel on the beach of Brasilito. We went for supper, it was ok - a smidgen less cost than other places we had eaten but definitely not as good.

We each had a drink, guacamole, Roger had chicken, the girls had fish and chips, I had 2 chicken skewers. It was $32,000 Colones = $59 USD.

Even though the area was fairly nice, just across from the beach and a bar next door and some little food places we got a room that had no AC and it was ridiculously HOT. I mean it was suffocating and the Ceiling Fan did nothing to help. I went outside late at night as it was slightly cooler. I had to shower several time during the night to keep cool. Sleep was must unrestful. The hotel did try to keep its rooms clean and I would not complain on that part. The restaurant/bar was also nice...expensive but nice to sit and relax. If you stay...get a Room with AC. It would have been much better if we did.

We spent the day exploring the area in Brasilto, Playa Flamingo, Playa Potrero. I think you definitely need a vehicle to go out and exploring. We are also interested in either living here full time or part time. Our definitely favourite area is Playa Flamingo, it appeared this was the highest concentration of people/tourists in the area. It took us …

    After
the hike we enjoyed a picnic lunch of ham and bean sandwiches with fruit. Then
it was time to hit the road once again. I dreaded another bone-shaking ride
until Tanya informed me we would be going home another way which she hoped
would be smoother. Thankfully it was, the rest of the day was a comfortable
enjoyable ride. We rode through winding country roads with beautiful views of

... or live in awe of it. True, he wields his power in the Americas but I'd hate to think that the rest of the world is as brain washed. Wednesday was labour day holiday so it was a pretty relaxed week for most Ticos. Silvia took advantage of the situation and took Thursday as annual leave and we went to Volcano Poas with Raffa, Seidy and Emma. Great day!

Saturday was a beaut day at Emily's with Laura. The two ...

Tuesday we went out in service and then hit a few beaches. We wanted to go to Nicaragua for a day but decided against it because we heard the border crossing can take a long time and it just didn’t fit into our schedule. Wednesday a sister from California agreed to be our tour guide and escorted us to two waterfalls within an hour of Coco. One was small enough to jump off, and the other was about 50 feet high and spilled ...

This was an awesome tour for the price. You got to drive your own ATV at least 30 minutes each way along the beach dirt roads and even highways through town.

Then arrived at the zip line place for 12 fabulous zip lines. I even had the opportunity to go upside down and superman on the zip lines. It was so awesome.

At the end of the zip line tour it ended at the monkey ...
