Even though the area was fairly nice, just across from the beach and a bar next door and some little food places we got a room that had no AC and it was ridiculously HOT. I mean it was suffocating and the Ceiling Fan did nothing to help. I went outside late at night as it was slightly cooler. I had to shower several time during the night to keep cool. Sleep was must unrestful. The hotel did try to keep its rooms clean and I would not complain on that part. The restaurant/bar was also nice...expensive but nice to sit and relax. If you stay...get a Room with AC. It would have been much better if we did.

But it made for an interesting afternoon walk and the Costa Ricas we met are unequivocally amicable. Tomorrow we go canyon emerging and white water rafting! ... tea cup of straight tequila each, oh well! We went to coconutz where Taylor now has a lot of friends who work there because she has been there a fair amount recently :p The chef bought me a Guinness which was really nice and we ended up staying there till midnight. We all went over to Zi lounge but I definitely wasn't in the mood to dance so I headed home as I'm diving tomorrow anyway. Day 41: Well today has been sufficiently awesome for one particular reason. I saw a manta ...

This was an awesome tour for the price. You got to drive your own ATV at least 30 minutes each way along the beach dirt roads and even highways through town.

Then arrived at the zip line place for 12 fabulous zip lines. I even had the opportunity to go upside down and superman on the zip lines. It was so awesome.

At the end of the zip line tour it ended at the monkey ...

None of the A.M. Volunteers were there. Several of the local children came up and gave us hugs.

Wedneday at 4:00 he's going to have Ash Wednesday services and we'll try to go.

Next Sunday we plan to ride the bus farther, to Santa Cruz. Surfing lessons and canopy hikes just don't appeal to us. We're the grandparents in this soujourn.

... had fun blocking the water flow in one section to then release it on us while we were below, creating a forceful cascade of water over our heads! The last waterfall we came to was the whopper one where you had to have a head for heights standing at the edge and some guts of steel to lean yourself precariously out! All good adrenalin fun and we did a rapid freefall to finally touch base again at the bottom.

Next up was our nature hike with ...
