      After 5 flights, across 4 countries and almost 38 hours in either the air or airports I have reached my first destination - Florence Italy. Getting here wasn't exactly smooth sailing with a last minute trip to the doctor for a suspected infected finger resulting in a course of antibodies and missing out on my belated birthday cake.
