Walked back to our piazza Santa Croce where we indulged in a little leather shopping and gelato, though the gelato was ridiculously expensive, compared to elsewhere. Sunday 26th October Woke this morning to find that daylight saving had ended overnight so had an extra hour in bed. Could not work out why there were no church ...

Today we decided to go outlet shopping as Peter needed to get his headphones exchanged and the only Bose store was at the Barberino Shopping outlet!! This place was huge! So, I checked out tons of intern abroad programs and found the perfect one for me with Performing Arts Abroad (PAA). It's all in the title! It was meant for me! This program is affiliated with Florence University of the Arts (FUA) -yet again, all in the title- which is ...

... it is very humid also. The Uffizi is huge as everyone has warned me. I did buy another expensive guide which helped in deciding what rooms I wanted to see. Michelangelo, Filippo Lipi, Fra Angelico, the fabulous Botticellis, transition between Gothic altar art and Rennaissance freedom of expression in traditional church art. Also Giotto and last, hardest to find, a few Caravaggios, Bacchus and the Head of the Medusa. ...
