Days 11 and 12: Pisa, Florence and Rome

Day 10: Florence
... and the writer of the Divine Comedy. Come ON!! I geeked out a bit. Not to mention, the cathedral itself was stunning, as we the cloisters and courtyard outside. We headed back to the apartment and Mom cooked us a fantastic pot roast with potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, onions, and a salad. We enjoyed the delicious dinner around the large dining room table, sipped champagne, talked, laughed, and enjoyed the evening. ... views. We stopped half way up at a rose gardens and were all breath taken. Two of my roommates (Lauren and Jackie) and I took a bunch of pictures and kept walking up. At the top I was floored. This city is magnificent. I love it. It's old and somehow so timeless.

A Day Under the Tuscan Sun
... outside on our patio eating carryout pizza blissfully exhausted from our daylong excursion to Tuscany. We met our tour guide Giuseppe this morning at 9 and were fortunate to have him all to ourselves completely by chance. Incredibly good fortune actually. We hopped in his Lancia and took off. First stop San Gimignano. 360 degree views of Tuscany. You could sit up there all day and never get enough. The pictures tell the story. ...
