    ... all of the Folkers and friends that made our stay in Groningen truly awesome. Jan and Gea went above and beyond at every chance they got, driving us everywhere, trusting us with the car, taking us to see family and friends, and just being all round amazing all the time. We were so sad to leave everyone, but saying good bye to Jan and Gea was definitely the hardest. We will be back – sooner rather than later we hope!

    ... Anyway, I got back to the campsite and tugged at the bed as hard as a could but it would not budge. So, to get some air I opened the window... And broke the clip so the window wouldn't close. That was that! I clearly was making matters worse, so decided to leave it all and just take some time to chill out.     ... were informed that kiteboarding is only allowed in a very specific place on one of the lakes in town. The lake where kiteboarding is legal is called Beulakerwidje. When the lady at the counter said the name in Dutch, Erika and I looked at each other with a pretty obvious ??huh?? look and the friendly lady repeated it very slowly - 'Boo Locker Wag'. How exactly you get that sound from those letters is a bit complicated, I guess. At any rate, I had the spelling of the lake ...
