Yesterday was a very long day, almost all of which was spent in the car. Neither of us slept well during the night, I'm not sure why. The room was comfortable, and pleasant. Perhaps it was the rain or some of the street noise. There was no air conditioning, it would hardly even be needed here, so we left the windows open a crack during the rainy night.

In any event we were up and ready to go by a little after 08:00. It only took ...

... traffic lanes. You have to do that because after that you get to speak to a human who will realise that you don't have a Flexiplus ticket.....
Today I leant that they have changed the machines so that they reject you if you don't have the right ticket...queue mild bollocking from a otherwise very pleasant lady...she still let me through though!

... but she no longer cooks). After that Becky went in to rest and Mike, Peter, and I walked a couple of blocks to the Albert Heijn grocery store. We needed to buy water and a bottle of wine as a gift for Wil and Patrick. I tried to get money out of the ATM but I made an error and then my card wouldn't work anymore today so we had to use Mike's card. We are collecting euros as we must pay for the B & B in cash not plastic.

... with a bunch of Canadians and Australians who were really cool. The Canadians explained in detail all about maple syrup and the different kinds that you can get. We were crossing the street on the way to Edd's and a car almost hit us, so one of the Canadians tapped on the car as it sped past. The car stopped and the driver and his two friends got out ready to fight this guy, which was actually hilarious to see. Nothing happened though, thankfully. We purposely left Be Electrified ...
