Enjoyed a great free tour of Amsterdam today, although it's really hard to call it a free tour when we had to pay 3€ each to make the online booking! We covered a lot of territory and learned a lot about Amsterdam, Holland and the Netherlands overall. Shortly after we left this morning we were in the Netherland's, which means low land. A population of 18 million with only 800 000 in Amsterdam and over 1 million bikes. It takes 2 hours to drive east to west and 4 hours north to south. Amsterdam is the capital and the country is made up of 12 provinces. However the King and Queen as well as government is located at The Hague. Amsterdam is actually lower than sea level and the country has to pump water ...

... a recyclist, just like me. I love his place and have to laugh at myself for having the Western Proper job image in my head when hearing ‘interior designer’. He explains that is has lots of money but prefers to live like this. The fact that he speaks perfect English could mean he is one of those people who steps out of society to live basic. The fact that he clearly is an alcoholic who likes to talk, makes me doubt this. He explains people think he is crazy. ...
