    It really is a bit magical here. The mist and cold and the fairy lights. I keep pinching myself as it does have a little bit of a fairy tale feel being in the middle of it all. Wherever I look it is just the right mix of cute, ancient and pretty all at once. Adam magic. Yesterday we visited the Rijks Museum. Just stunning.     ... in Holland speaks English, the book says, and so far this is true. But the signs are 90%25 in Dutch! Still, we found a café and had a roast beef broodje and some lentil soepen. We came "home" down a different street. The buildings are mostly brick, as are the streets, the sidewalks, the gutters--lots of brick, used very creatively. We shared a gelato and came back to our hotel...I stayed up to write this. ...

    Just about finished our stay in Amsterdam and tomorrow drive to Bruge. What an absorbing City Amsterdam is with so much to see in a small area, people watching has been eye opening and Noah must have stopped the ark here cause there's definitely two of everything ! Have fallen in love with bitterballen the crumbed savoury snack you have with beers, just great. Was going to give the raw herrings a go but ...

    ... on our bus.... THE most boring tour we have ever been on!!!!! " and on your left is a square building.....and on your right is another square building " ......you get the picture!! Then we went to the diamond factory...couldn't hear the guide....so we played hooky...told her I wasn't feeling well, jumped into a cab and came home! Went to our favourite little bar for some eten and drinken and came home for a night at the ranch.....'twas good. Maybe shopping tomorrow ...
