    ... bought a house here. The port is picture-postcard perfect, the backstreets charming and the boutiques chic. The fine beaches lie outside the town. We walked the cobbled streets noting that very little opens here, as in most parts of Europe before 10:00. Eventually we all decided to sit and watch the 'beautiful people' and to do so we needed to stop into a restaurant and have coffee (8:00 euro for a cappuccino = $12:00).     ... spied a beautiful though otherworldly piece of legumery in the market (see photo for the questionable green legume). It looked like a member of the brassica family or maybe a member of the Dr Who family... but any guesses on this mystery?

    ... aqueduct system and you could see at least 5 or 6 of them, showing the route that the aqueduct took, as well as being able to see the channel that was at the top in which the water flowed from the source (presumably near the mountains) to the destination (presumably the middle of town). I have uploaded some pictures from that here.

    From there, we went back to Toulon, walked around a bit, and plan to sample some local cuisine for dinner. Tomorrow - Nice!
