... water was like a salty tepid bath. So warm, but cool enough to ease the heat. We spent hours there, and took many swims. The water was so clear that we could see all of the fish swimming underneath and around us. (Don't worry mum, I looked it up, no shark attacks in any of the places we are going to swim in for over a hundred years, except for the odd reef shark leg nibble, which are also extremely rare) there was not a cloud in the sky. ...

I was able to speak in French to get the train tickets, breakfast and the French people really appreciate it when you try - they will reply in English sometimes. ... casino!!! We were then headed towards home with a brief 30min stop in the medieval town of Eze (pronounced ez-ah). Here we climbed the stairs up the many narrow walkways, passing lots of boutiques, hotels and restaurants until we got to the gardens at the top. We didn't have time to enter (or pay the $6 euro pp), as we only had 10 minutes to return down to the car park for our pick up to return home. All in all this was a lovely day trip - we left ...
