    ... it was a pretty place to spend time, with some wonderful views of the Danube, and some less wonderful, but still interesting, views of the south side of the riverbank, with its Communist-era tower blocks and a new (EU-funded, no doubt) wind farm, close to the city limits. We also had a good view of the Novy Most (the New Bridge), nicknamed the UFO, because at one end there is a circular building, which looks just like a flying saucer.
