... we would head out and enjoy the famous Bratislava night life. Bratislava promised to deliver, but like Vienna, left us wanting.. There was no one around, other than groups dining in restaurants, or mobs watching the cup.. The bars were pretty much dead. ... improving and the Old City is rather cute. It probably would have been much better with some sunshine. Rick Steves describes Slovakia as the "West Virginia of Europe." Someplace with a great deal of unrealized potential, perhaps.

After a short walk we found ourselves in the front of the colourful St. Stephen's cathedral where we enjoyed the avaiable network connections to find a hostel. This is our second night in Bratislava. We were meant to go to Vienna today starting at 9 am and returning at 10pm. But Terry has now succumbed to the dreaded flu that has affected so many of us.
