    ... in all directions and it has, what can only be described as, 'self service' traffic lights. They have a red, amber and green light but we have never seen them do anything other than flash amber, which under their rules, means that you can do what you like with caution. Obviously the 'with caution' bit had been recklessly ignored by three vehicles, who had all assumed right of way with, what would appear to have been, a certain degree of alacrity.

    ... group enjoys each other's company for the last night! We finish singing a series of German and Australian songs together helped by the delightful Ule and Sabina, who sing like angels. The food is well priced, so we are happy with our choice to eat! A walk along the esplanade of Split for a liqueur. Back to the boat for more singing, as we put off trying to get to sleep,with the disco raging next door! The end of a fabulous week, as we exchange emails for photo ...

    ... was crazily strong and cold! One of the guys, Aidan, braved the cold and jumped in but the rest of us were not keen! We sat in the sun at a restaurant on the waterfront, where the waves came right up pretty much to our feet! It was beautiful! We stayed there for a few hours just hanging out in the sun, drinking coffee and enjoying the amazing views of sea and mountains.     ... Croatian house furnished in the traditional way and where we got to taste the local "grappa" flavoured with different fruit - I loved the fig so bought a small bottle. Last stop was a winery where we were able to taste the white, red and desert wines. I skipped the white and red and just tasted the desert wine which was really good. Back to the boat for a break of an hour and then it was dinner - tonight a traditional Dalmatian meal (we are in the area of Dalmatia) ...

    ... was lovely. Similiar in style to Dubrovnik, but smaller and somehow slightly more charming. There's a small marina, a cathedral or church, and other lovely buildings, and charming little alleyways offering lovely views of the ocean. The main entrance in to the town is Land Gate set in city walls, similiar to Dubrovnik.
